We started our travel through Longqi Yuan 龙麒源. This Scenic Spot is a tourist attraction with beautiful scenery and fusion of Dai folk customs. The location is in the Xikeng Yi Autonomous Town of Wencheng County. The local people are commemorating the ancestor of the Yi people, so they are called the dragons. The scenic area covers an area of 266 hectares and the forest coverage rate is 96%. It is almost entirely ornamental broad-leaved jungle. The climate of the scenic area is mild, the four seasons are distinct, the winter is not cold, the summer is not hot, the air is fresh, the cool breeze is cool, it is a good place for a relaxing holiday. The area inside the Longyuyuan Scenic Area is covered with luxuriant, green and dripping with sharp peaks and long canyons. The whirlpool of the stream is in abundance, and the green pools are connected in series, crystal clear. The sound of running water is the same as the sound of birds on the tree. These flowing springs and running waters are all living waters that come through the mountains. They are not polluted and impurities, sweet and delicious. There are more than 30 scenic spots in Longyuyuan Scenic Spot, among them 500-meter-long Jinbitan Beach is the most fascinating. The bare golden rock wall bed, stones, sand, allowed thousands of years of water to wash into a green pool. Guests should not miss the opportunity to take pictures! Long Yuyuan is not only beautiful in natural scenery, but also rich in style. The unique Yi people's marriage, singing and dancing, mysterious and interesting folk customs are more refreshing and endless. We enjoyed traditional performance as well. The scenic trails in the scenic area are gentle and it is not difficult to walk. This tourist attraction place is suitable for old and young all kind of people. It was almost evening already when we got to the exit, so we had our dinner and came back to the hotel for resting and preparing next day trip.
As we had many places to travel on our second day, we woke up and had our breakfast early in the morning and get on bus. At first we went Baizhang Ji百丈漈 (means hundreds miles waterfall). It also located in Wencheng County territory, 115 km away from Wenzhou city. There are more than 100 scenic spots in this scenic spot, featuring waterfalls, ponds, caves and lakes. The forest coverage rate in the scenic area is 75%, and there are 475 species of wood plants. Baizhang Waterfall is located at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level. Connected to the blue sky and white clouds, looking up at the flying stream like a dragon roll in the sea. 207-meter-high glimpse of a stream like a cloud hits it, and it floats like a galaxy. In addition to the Baizhang Waterfall, there are Erqi Waterfall, Sancha Waterfall, Canyon View Gallery, Zhuyang Jiufeng, Tongge Waterfall of Tongxia Mountain Gorge. There are different types of waterfalls, such as the Shame Waterfall, the Dragon Waterfall, the Concave Waterfall, the Baifen Waterfall, the Shilin Waterfall, and the Santan Waterfall. Wen Cheng can be called the hometown of waterfalls. Even though we didn’t want to leave the natural heaven, still we had to as we had more place to go. We had been to Liuji Miao刘基庙 (or Liuji temple) and The former residence of Liuji 刘基故里in Wuyang (武阳村) Village. Liuji temple is one of the historical places in Wencheng county blessed with many histories. It’s divided into "Wang Zuo", "Di Shi", two wooden squares and head gates, Yimen, Zheng Hall, and Chayuan, covering an area of 3024 square meters. Wuyang usually called the “place of dream”. Located at 800 meters above sea level in Wuyang Village, Nantian Town, Wencheng County, it is the former residence of Liu Ji, the founding father of the Ming Dynasty. The existing Liu Ji was abandoned at the age of 48 and built the house monument. Second day was too tiring to walk even, so we had early rest in the hotel of Wuyang village.
Third day we started by visiting Anfu temple安福寺. The temple is built on the mountain and has a quiet environment. It has always been a Buddhist resort. It has a pure Taoist style built by Tang Xianzong Yuan 1200 years ago. The building architecture, environment, decoration everything together made this place worth visiting. After the temple we head to Rangchuan Village让川村 to enjoy their traditional lunch and visit the village. Their food and the way of present was so awesome. The village is built on the mountain, with a clear and distinct, backed by the millennium, and adjacent to the Red Maple Forest. Let Chuancun have a long history of humanity. There are Ye's ancestral halls that began to be built during the Qianlong period. There are historical sites such as the courtyard house and the filial piety of the village. We roamed around the village and talking with old people were interesting. Our next step was Tongling mountain铜铃山. Tonglingshan Forest Park is located in the west of Baizhang Festival Scenic Spot. It consists of three major scenic spots: Tonglingshan Gorge, Xiaoyaochi and Tonglingzhai. The mountains are covered with greenery, deep valleys, creek waterfalls, bamboo forests, exotic flowers and wild grasses. In particular, the “pot hole” landscape is famous in the world, and it is rare in China. The forest coverage rate is 95%, the air is fresh, rich in negative ions and various phytoncides, terpene aromatic plants, which is very beneficial to human health and achieve the effect of building brain and fitness. Tonglingshan Forest Park is an ideal place for sightseeing, adventure, leisure and summer, and “forest bathing”.
On our last day trip in Wenzhou we visited one of the most interesting place called Houwang Gu猴王谷 (or Monkey King valley). It is located in the western mountainous area of Wencheng County. The panoramic area is about 1046 hectares. There are more than 20,000 acres of original evergreen forest. The air is fresh and it is a natural oxygen bar. It is characterized by wooden ancient water wonders, mountains and dangerous roads, and rich scenery. The valley is deep, the waterfall is high, the flowers are strange, and the vines are intertwined. Wild animals such as monkeys, baboons, birds, and finch are infested in the forest, especially the stag beetles are often infested. Monkeys in the mountains often compete with the mountain people. When they run and jump in the forest, the forest rolls up and down, like a gust of wind blowing across the sea, green waves. The scenic spot consists of time and space, the Monkey Square, the Taotao Club, the secluded valley, the Ya Shi Pin, the Monkey Guanhai, the Shame Girl, the Bird Park, the Monkey King, and the Yingying Club. Along the way, there is endless fun. The mysterious weather made our day perfect. It was so adventurous.
